Iran eyeing FLNG option

Iran is holding talks with a floating liquefied natural gas vessels producer to have FLNG ships at the Persian Gulf, managing director of National Iranian Gas Exports Company, Alireza Kameli said.

Due to the high economic efficiency of these ships, Iran is moving toward using FLNG vessels, Kameli added.

He noted that NIGEC is seeking LNG projects in the country as well while keeping an eye on FLNG options.

He also said that Iran is holding preliminary talks with 170 foreign companies for gas export.
