Israel Eco Wave Power Co-Founder Shortlisted for Business Green Leaders Awards

Inna Braverman, 27, Co-founder and Marketing Director of Eco Wave Power, an advanced and promising wave Energy Company from Israel, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Business Green Leaders Awards of 2013 in the category of ‘Young Sustainability Executive of the Year’.

Inna Braverman has been shortlisted, along with only three other nominees from a total entry of 25 nominations. She has been nominated in the top category of ‘Young Sustainability Executive of the year’ , which is aimed at green professionals under the age of 30 who has helped to drive substantial environmental improvements across their organization and the wider green economy. This award was looking for innovative young thinkers who serve to raise the profile of green issues, developed exciting new ideas to tackle environmental problems and are on track to play a high profile role in the development of the low carbon economy.

Inna Braverman holds a BA in political science and English language and literature from Haifa University. She developed her desire for the green energy field at her early twenties, when she started to work for a renewable energy company, as International Marketing Manager.

There, for the first time, her charisma and natural talent for business and marketing was noticed.

Inna’s enthusiasm to the field grew as it became evident that no wave energy company in the world, to date, was able to develop a commercially viable technology. She was intrigued by the ongoing ‘race’ between the companies for being the first ones to harness cost-efficient wave energy. Therefore, she joined Eco Wave Power, which holds the best available wave energy technology.

With her young spirit and strong ambitions Inna is an integral part of Eco Wave Power Company serving in the position of the International Marketing Director. Her contribution in shaping the business strategy of EWP has assisted in its fast promotion and recognition. Among other things, Ms. Braverman is responsible for the recently signed MOU with The Ocean University of China, as well as other significant agreements.

Mr. David Leb, Founder and CEO of Eco Wave Power said that ‘ I am delighted that Inna Braverman is one of the four shortlisted final nominees to get through to the finals of the Business Green Leadership Awards. Inna is an inspirational leader who works tirelessly to improve our services and to improve the performance of the whole organization. She is a very visible leader, to our potential clients as well as to our staff. Therefore, it is very fitting that she has been selected as a finalist for The Business Green Leaders Awards.’

This nomination is in continuity to Eco Wave Power’s recent Product Innovation Award from Frost & Sullivan.

Avimanyu Basu (Research Analyst, Technical Insights, from Frost & Sullivan) added that ‘Frost & Sullivan awards a company based on specific parameters, such as end-user requirements and market dynamics. The process involves thorough analysis of a spectrum of competitive technologies through in-depth primary and secondary market research. In each and every Product Innovation Award, the product lines are compared with customer demands, and the company with top-ranking is presented the Award.

Eco Wave Power is the first ever wave energy company to achieve the Frost & Sullivan Product Innovation Award for the development and commercialization of an all-round solution for dependable and cost-effective energy harvesting from waves. The company has been consistent with their innovation since its establishment, and demonstrated its potential by an array of achievements such as construction of a small scale power plant (checked and approved by the Hydro Mechanic Institute in Kiev), a Medium-Scale Power plant with 10 KW capacity, which has been implemented in the Black Sea and recently EWP initiated its efforts for the installation of a first commercial scale project of wave energy generation system by successfully partnering with several organizations. Frost and Sullivan expect that the company’s technical capabilities and strong financial support will enable EWP to become a promising stakeholder and technology provider in the ocean energy market. Therefore, in 2013, The Product Innovation Award presented to EWP is fully authorized and authenticated by Frost & Sullivan’

The Business Green Leaders awards evening will take place at The Brewery on the evening of Wednesday 3 July, when figures from across the UK’s emerging low carbon economy will gather to find out who the awards winners are.

This year’s awards saw a huge increase in entries, each of which demonstrated the manner in which British businesses are increasingly embracing the urgent need to develop more sustainable business models.

The event organizers wrote in their web-site that :‘the shortlist for each of the 17 categories highlights the genuine leaders in the emerging low carbon economy and will present our panel of esteemed judges with an extremely difficult task as they attempt to agree on the eventual winners’.
