Kongsberg Signs Support and Maintenance Agreement for Systems Onboard RNoN's Vessels

KONGSBERG has signed a long term Framework Agreement with the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organization (NDLO) for support, maintenance and further development of systems delivered by KONGSBERG onboard the RNoN’s combat vessels and training centers.

The Framework Agreement is valid from 1st January 2014 with duration of 6 years. The overall scope of the Framework Agreement is 165 MNOK. In addition, the Agreement enables NDLO to order additional services, spare parts and other necessary equipment upon need.

This is an important milestone for both the RNoN and KONGSBERG. The Framework Agreement contributes to secure a coordinated and effective maintenance of all systems delivered by KONGSBERG onboard the Nansen class frigates, Skjold class corvettes, MCM vessels, Ula class submarines, other vessels and Training centers through their life time.

For KONGSBERG this means continuous activities linked to Command and Control Systems, Navigation Systems, Sonar Systems, NSM Missiles and Trainers, that also will contribute to ensure maintenance of domain knowledge and expertise.

KONGSBERG further strengthens their presence at Haakonsvern Naval Base where the KONGSBERG-team will work closely with the RNoN’s personnel in order to solve the tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible.
