Lisnave Gains ISO 14001 Environmental Certification

Lisnave, a Portuguese shipbuilding company, has obtained the ISO 14001 Environmental Certification for the innovation and renewal efforts in environmental aspects. The recognition was given by the Lloyd ‘s Register on October 3rd, 2013.

Despite fierce competition on the market, Lisnave has dedicated considerable attention on abiding by the principle of Pollution Prevention in all its work activities.

Lisnave, through its maintenance and ship repair activity, increases maritime transportation security, as well as through the daily practice of the international standards on environmental management system, which have been in force for a long time in the Company.

The shipyard has all the infrastructures that allow it to treat waste-water, as well as handle and route the waste generated in the course of its activity, thus, taking a proactive approach to protecting the environment.
