Load Line’s 3rd Fuel Efficient Ultramax Delivered (HT)

One of the Jiangsu Hantong Group subsidiaries, the Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (HT), has delivered another 63,490 DWT bulk carrier COPENSHIP ECO to the Load Line Marine of Greece.

The naming and delivery ceremony for the ultramax (bearing the yard No. HT64-115) was held on Oct. 27th 2013. HT President Mr. Meng Chengjun together with the representatives of the shipowner and the class attended the ceremony.

COPENSHIP ECO, class approved by NK, was launched from HT’s slipway No.2 on July 8th 2013. After 20 days of successful sea trials and various tests, the vessel returned to the yard on Oct. 11th 2013, meeting all requirements of the ship-owners and the class.

The name of this ultramax bulker reflects the profile of the ship, an eco-type vessel carrying 15% more cargo and consuming 17% less fuel compared to an average supramax vessel.
