BHIC's Subsidiary Receives LOA for Second Generation of Patrol Vessel

Contraves Advanced Devices Sdn Bhd, subsidiary of BHIC, received letter of award for the second generation patrol vessel from Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd (BNS). This contract for littoral combat ships was previously awarded to BNS by the Malaysian government.

According to Thestar, the contract includes procurement of the combat management system (CMS), the Rheinmetall fire control system and the engineering and integration for the DCNS SETIS CMS.

It is considered that the project would be fulfilled in 10 years. The contract for the Malaysian government’s patrol vessels is worth around RM1.53 billion (approx USD 488.8 mln).
