This was decided at the latest general meeting of the company held on June 5, 2018.

Former shipping trust Marenave underwent restructuring, completing the sale of all its vessels in September 2017. The restructuring was expected to clear the way for Marenave to build up a new fleet and implement other maritime projects.

However, the country’s asset and investment management company Ernst Russ sold its stake in Marenave to Deutsche Balaton in March this year. The decision was made due to “differing views” on Marenave’s restructuring process and its future business model between the company’s major shareholders.

As a result of the meeting in June, apart from the name change, it has been decided that the business objective would be changed.

The resolutions also include the reduction of the supervisory board from four to three.
