Through the initiative Milaha aims to introduce innovative services and drive operational efficiency with automated processes.

Milaha will implement Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Internet of Things (IoT) and Chatbots, among other things.

“In line with State of Qatar 2030 National Vision and in a world of increasingly complex supply chains, constantly challenging the status quo is imperative to drive sustained growth and deliver on fast-evolving customer expectations. This is especially important for us at Milaha as our primary goal is offering synchronized solutions to our customers to help mobilize their businesses.

“The end-to-end digital transformation powered by Oracle Cloud applications will help us achieve this objective by helping drive innovation and create new business opportunities without the need to invest in additional infrastructure,” Abdulrahman Al-Mannai, Milaha’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said.

Milaha will also implement Enterprise Performance Management (EPM); Supply Chain Management (SCM) including IoT; Oracle Transport Management (OTM); Human Capital Management (HCM), and Customer Experience (CX) cloud applications.

Oracle has been very busy over the past few years with tapping into the potential of the maritime sector’s need for digitalization. In January this year the company inked a deal with Dubai-based terminal operator DP World on digitalization of the port operator’s business operations worldwide using Oracle Cloud Applications (SaaS).

Digitalization, cyber technologies, autonomous mobility and artificial intelligence (AI) are the driving forces shaping tomorrow’s shipping industry. The industry agrees that change is inevitable and numerous companies including industry majors like Maersk are looking into the potential of digitalization and blockchain.
