Monadelphous Scores Gorgon Contract Extension

Monadelphous Group said it has been awarded a one-year extension to the facilities management services contract associated with the Gorgon Project, operated by Chevron Australia.

The contract, valued at approximately $130 million, is for the operation and maintenance of construction facilities and utilities on Barrow Island, Western Australia.

The scope of services includes the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants, power generation and distribution systems, as well as the management and maintenance of various buildings, vehicles, plant and equipment.

The original contract was secured in November 2009 and was for an initial three-year term. Approximately 175 people were employed as a result of the contract in the latest financial year.

“Monadelphous has been providing multidisciplinary maintenance and construction services on Barrow Island for more than a decade and we’re pleased to extend our valued relationship with Chevron Australia,” Monadelphous Managing Director Rob Velletri said.
