The company has entered into an agreement with an undisclosed seller to acquire AS Selina for USD 13.86 million.

The 1,740 TEU geared containership was constructed at China’s Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard.

As informed, the delivery of the vessel is scheduled for the third quarter of 2018, lifting the MPC Container Ships’ fleet to 69 vessels.

Earlier this month, the company raised some USD 50 million through a private placement to pursue future investments in container vessels as well as general corporate purposes. Since its founding in April 2017, the company has been on a shopping spree aimed at second-hand vessels.
