N-KOM: Rotor Renewal for LNG Carrier Aseem

LNG tanker Aseem, managed by the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), was recently repaired at the Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM) shipyard in Qatar.

The highlight of the repair was the renewal and installation of two AMZ 1120 rotors for the 12,650 KW capacity Main Propulsion motors, done under the supervision of ABB,” N-KOM said in a statement.

The 155,000 cbm tanker transports LNG for India’s largest liquefied natural gas importer, Petronet LNG.
