Neptune in Oz work with DOF Subsea

Australian subsea services provider Neptune Marine Services has been awarded a contract to provide a Hyperbaric Rescue Vessel (HRV) for DOF Subsea Australia, a subsidiary of the Norwegian offshore vessel provider to the oil and gas industry DOF.

Neptune said on Monday that this would be the first project for the company’s vessel, the Offshore Guardian.

The deal will see the vessel providing support to the client’s saturation diving campaign on the North-West Shelf, offshore Australia.

To remind, the Australian subsea services provider signed a one-year vessel charter for the 34 meters long DP1 MV Offshore Guardian, with Guardian Offshore AU back in May.

Built in 2015, the Offshore Guardian is a shallow draft survey vessel based in Exmouth, Western Australia. It was designed by Lomocean Designs and built by Profab Engineering, a duo from New Zealand. The vessel was chartered to support Neptune’s diving, inspection, stabilization, survey, AUV and ROV capabilities.

Neptune’s Chief Executive Officer, Robin King, said: “This is the first project for our new vessel and we are delighted to be able to provide a cost effective solution to our client.”
