DOF Subsea said on Wednesday that the newly won contracts secured further vessel and resource utilization in the first quarter and the first part of the second quarter of 2020.

The contracts, awarded by undisclosed clients in Australia, will see the Skandi Singapore vessel begin subsea project operations during the first quarter of 2020 for two ‘major operators’ in the region over a period of 50-60 days.

Built in 2011, the Skandi Singapore is a purpose-built dive support vessel of an STX DSV 06 design.

Mons Aase, CEO of DOF Subsea, said: “These are important awards for DOF Subsea and continue to build backlog from previous reported wins in the first quarter of 2020, all of which secure good utilization for our vessel and resources in the Asia Pacific Region. We look forward to working with our key clients to deliver safe and successful projects.”

It is worth reminding that Skandi Singapore received its previous contract in the Asia Pacific region back in November 2019. Under the contract, Skandi Singapore was scheduled to start construction operations in early January 2020 in South East Asia.
