New Managing Director in Australia for Maersk Supply Service

Maersk Supply Service has appointed subsea specialist Brett Silich as new Regional Manager for its office in Perth, Australia.

In 2017 the company will take delivery of the first of four DP3 subsea support vessels (SSVs) equipped with a 400 Te crane and 1925 sq.m free deck space.

“We have a strong vision for the future of Maersk Supply Service and we are very pleased to have Brett on board. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge to Maersk Supply Service about the subsea sector and also the intricacies of the diverse Asia Pacific market, and we look forward to drawing on his experience which will compliment other key positions currently being fulfilled,” Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer, Søren Karas, explains.

As Regional Manager Brett Silich will work closely with key clients, heading up commercial activities, coordinating regional expansion plans, aligning business strategies, fostering strategic partnerships, and he will be leading a team of 85 people, the company wrote.

Brett Silich currently lives in Perth and has over 14 years of experience in the subsea and drilling sector, most recently as Chief Executive Officer for Velocious. He has also had positions within Subsea 7. He holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Curtin University, Australia.
