New Tender Released for La Spezia Terminal Development

A new tender procedure is open for the extension of the Garibaldi dock in Italy’s La Spezia Container Terminal, according to data provided by Italian container shipping company Contship Italia.

The tender provides the continuation of the development project that involves the Garibaldi area, including executive design, work supervision and bookkeeping and co-ordination of health and safety in both design and execution stages. The procedure has been opened to realize new aprons for the terminal’s day-to-day operations as a container and multipurpose terminal.

La Spezia Container Terminal is planning to further improve handling capacity from 1.4 to 2.5 million TEUs.

Contship Italia informed that the procedure will close at midday on August 2, therefore all bids must be delivered before this date.
