Norway: Simek Shipyard to Launch New PSV NB 126

A newbuild Platform Supply Vessel of UT 755 LC design (NB 126), which is currently being built at Simek shipyard is almost ready for the sea-launching. The mounting of the propellers and the rudder are completed. The hull will be painted during this week.

Block 5, the superstructure, will be assembled after sea-launching by a floating crane. Sea-launching will be on May 12th 2012.

The UT 755 LC is a development of the popular UT 755 series vessel, designed specifically for supplying equipment to oil and gas platforms. The vessel will have an extended hull and larger deck space to increase the capacity for transportation of solid and liquid cargo.

Delivery is still June 12th 2012.
