Norway: Statoil Contracts Bergen Group for Delivery of Two Gantry Cranes


Bergen Group Dreggen AS has been awarded a new contract from Statoil for the delivery of two gantry cranes with a capacity of 280 metric tons in joint lifting operations.

The cranes will be used at Statoil`s new test facility for subsea compressors at Kårstø in Rogaland, Norway. The total order value is estimated to NOK 35-40 million, and the delivery is expected to be completed by the end of Q2 2012.

Bergen Group Dreggen delivers cranes and lifting equipment for vessels and offshore constructions globally, and has a strong international position in a market focusing high quality and solid reliability. The company, which has more than quadrupled their revenues in the last five years, now has a backlog of orders ensuring high capacity utilization through the end of the 1st half 2012.

Bergen Group Dreggen is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bergen Group ASA and a part of the group’s Technology-division.
