Oceanlinx Applies for Wave Energy Development Licence Off South Australia

Oceanlinx, a South Wales-based company, has applied to the Essential Services Commission (ESC) for a licence to produce power from waves.

A generator which would produce power from waves pushing air through a turbine is being built off the coast of Port MacDonnell, ABC News reports.

ESC said that the application would now be assessed and the public could express their opinion by October 7.
