Okra Energy scoops LNG exclusivity deal in Latin America

New York-based Okra Energy has been awarded the Right of First Refusal for all future LNG projects on behalf of Latin America-based energy provider Lipigas S.A. and its affiliates.

Okra Energy said that the contract provided the company with an option to exclusively supply engineering, construction, and liquefaction equipment for the Lipigas corporation.

The company also has the option to operate and maintain all of its future LNG plants throughout Latin America.

It is worth noting that Okra Energy recently commissioned the first small-scale LNG facility for Perú, one of five in Latin America.
