Olympic Delta Secures Work in Renewable Sector

Olympic Shipping has secured a contract for Olympic Delta, an inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) vessel, with an international client.

The vessel, with the length of 92.55 meters, will be employed in the renewable energy sector.

According to the company, the contract will start in August and has a fixed period of 120 days plus options to extend to more than 200 days.

Stig Remøy, CEO of Olympic, said: “For many years we have focused on offering our environmental friendly operations also within the renewable energy market. We have had a number of vessels employed in this segment and this contract confirms that the Olympic fleet of vessels is attractive in several markets.

In addition, the company informed that the Olympic Challenger contract with Technip has been extended for two months, from August until October 2016.
