One More VLGC for Dorian

NYSE-listed liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) shipping company Dorian LPG has taken delivery of the 84,000 cbm ECO very large gas carrier (VLGC) Constellation from South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).

This is Dorian LPG’s eleventh newbuilding delivery, and the Constellation will trade in the Helios LPG Pool.

Like the remainder of the company’s fleet, the Constellation will sail under the flag of the Bahamas.

With the latest delivery, Dorian LPG owns and operates a fleet of fourteen VLGCs and one pressurized LPG carrier.

The company has eight more 84,000 cbm VLGCs under construction, one more at HHI, one at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, and six at  Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.

Six newbuildings are scheduled for delivery throughout 2015, with the remaining two expected in 2016.
