Oxair clinches Prelude FLNG job

Perth-based Oxair Gas Systems said it has won a service contract for Shell’s giant Prelude FLNG facility.

Under the deal, Oxair will maintain the nitrogen generator plant built by Air Products on-board Prelude FLNG, the company said in its statement.

The Prelude FLNG facility, currently being built at Samsung Heavy Industries’ Geoje shipyard in South Korea, is the largest of its kind with 488m in length and 74m in width.

Once completed, the floating LNG producer is expected to stay moored at the Prelude gas field offshore Australia for 25 years.

It will be able to produce 3.6 mtpa of LNG, 1.3 mtpa of condensate and 0.4 mtpa of LPG for export.
