Peru exports LNG cargo

Peru’s only LNG export terminal sent a cargo of the chilled gas to Mexico on April 29.

Chevron’s newbuild, 160,000 cbm Asia Excellence LNG carrier, is expected to arrive at Mexico’s Manzanillo terminal on May 9, shipping data reveals.

The US$3.8 billion LNG project shipped 268 cargoes since the start of operations in June 2010.

It is operated by Peru LNG and has an estimated annual production capacity of 4.4 million tons.
