Peru LNG cargo heads for Mexico

The latest liquefied natural gas cargo to be loaded at Peru’s only export plant has been dispatched to Mexico.

The 173,400 cbm Valencia Knutsen departed from the liquefaction plant in Pampa Melchorita on May 15.

Peru’s state-owned company Perupetro did not reveal the final destination of the cargo. However, it is probably sailing to the Manzanillo terminal.

The US$3.8 billion LNG project shipped 269 cargoes since the start of operations in June 2010.
