Picture of the day: Golar Seal, Independence FSRU at Klaipeda

Höegh LNG’s 170,000 cbm FSRU “Independence” received its first cargo on Tuesday undergoing the testing procedures along the way. 

First LNG was delivered aboard the 160,000 cbm Golar Seal LNG carrier from Statoil’s Hammerfest terminal in Norway.

Mars Bartuška, Klaipedos Nafta CEO, said “First transfer of LNG to the FSRU went smoothly, safely and without disruption.”

He noted that further procedures were completed to prepare for the Golar Seal’s departure from the port of Klaipeda.
