Pilbara Ports Authority Freezes Prices

Business & Finance

Australia’s Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA) Board has taken a decision to hold prices at current levels for the Port of Port Hedland and the Port of Dampier until at least July 1, 2016.

PPA says that the decision is a response to the challenging market conditions being experienced by all commodity shippers, and comes after substantial discussions held by the PPA Board, the PPA Executive and with senior figures in Australia’s Government.

PPA says its primary objective is the facilitation of trade, and as a result the Authority will continue to make port operations as efficient and cost effective as possible.
