Polish LNG terminal in Świnoujście is the country’s flagship project to diversify gas supplies and reduce dependence on pipeline imports from Russia.

Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) is in charge for all the LNG supplies coming to the import terminal operated by Gaz-System’s unit Polskie LNG.

PGNiG plans to import at least 28 LNG cargoes to Poland, including further spot deliveries. So far this year, the company has already imported five spot LNG cargoes and plans further of US LNG, including supplies as part of the long-term contract with Cheniere Marketing International that begins this year.
