Port of Cork Seeks Quay Diving Inspection Services

Business & Finance

The Port of Cork Company invites tenders for the establishment of a multi-party framework agreement for structural inspections, remediation design and site supervision of port quayside infrastructure.

Port of Cork Seeks Quay Diving Inspection Services

The project is worth 1 mln EUR.

The Port Of Cork Company established a baseline condition survey of its quayside infrastructure in 2005, and developed a planned maintenance programme to address priority issues which are identified, on a phased basis. The survey was updated in 2009 and the subsequent remedial works identified have been carried out in the intervening years.

With this tender the Port aims to appoint a company or consortia to carry out a third round of diving and engineering structural inspections in order to continue with planned quayside infrastructure maintenance.

The final survey report will indicate works necessary to carry on the program of inspections, monitoring, repairs and preventative and protective measures to preserve the structural integrity of quayside assets in an economical manner.

The deadline for submission is March 11, 2014.
