POSCO, KAIST Launch New LNG Storage Tank

South Korea’s Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and POSCO said that they have developed a high manganese steel grid-pattern LNG storage tank that can dramatically increase LNG storage capacity.

This new tank has a rectangular design and can enhance the storage capacity up to 20,000 cubic meters from existing 1,000 cubic meters, KAIST said in a statement.

POSCO and KAIST will introduce the new LNG tank at Gastech 2014.
