Premier Oil hires DOF’s platform supply vessel

Offshore vessel owner DOF Rederi has been awarded a contract for one of its vessels by Premier Oil UK. 

DOF said on Monday that the contract was awarded to the Skandi Caledonia vessel. It is for four wells firm plus one two-well option.

The contract will start in the second quarter of this year with an estimated duration of circa 100 days per well for both the firm and optional wells.

The Skandi Caledonia’s previous engagement with Premier Oil was agreed in July 2019. It was a two-well firm contract with an option for one more well and it started in the third quarter of 2019.

Skandi Calendonia is a platform supply vessel (PSV) used to transport materials, supplies, and personnel to and from offshore drilling rigs and platforms. Built in 2003, the vessel is of an MT 6000 design.
