PSO issues two tenders seeking five LNG cargoes

Pakistan State Oil Co has issued two tenders to buy five liquefied natural gas cargoes for delivery over October to December.

The company issued an urgent tender seeking one cargo of 136,190 cubic metres of LNG for delivery on 6-8 October, a tender document showed.

The tender closes on September 22 while the bids should remain valid until September 29.

In a separate tender, PSO is looking for four 136,190 cbm cargoes to be delivered in November and December with two delivery windows from 5-7 and 15-17 each month.

The second tender closes on October 16. Bids should remain valid until October 26.

Pakistan started importing LNG in March this year via the FSRU Exquisite, which is being used as the country’s first import terminal at Port Qasim.

Since then, the country has received nine cargoes of the chilled gas with two shipments expected to arrive in September.
