PSV Energy Swan gains more time with Wintershall
Norwegian offshore vessel operator Golden Energy Offshore Services (GEOS) has secured a contract extension for one of its platform supply vessels (PSVs) with Wintershall Norge.
The contract awarded to the 2005-built PSV Energy Swan is in direct continuation of the charter contract from 2013, GEOS said on Tuesday.
The large PSV was in 2013 chartered for a firm period of four years plus optional (total of four years options).
Wintershall Norge and GEOS have now agreed a six months charter extension on market level and Wintershall Norge is entitled to its remaining options under the 2013 contract.
The Energy Swan contract is now firm until June 1, 2018, with 3,5 years of options in charterers favor.
The vessel is of ST 216 design and is a large PSV/pipe carrier designed to meet the general market.
