Q-Max heading for South Hook LNG

Qatar has shipped another cargo of liquefied natural gas from the port of Ras Laffan to the United Kingdom’s South Hook LNG terminal.

The 263,000 cbm Q-Max LNG Lijmiliya carrier is scheduled to deliver its cargo to the terminal located on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway on May 21.

The shipping data from the Milford Haven Port Authority reveals that this will be the second cargo delivered to the terminal in four days.

The Q-Max LNG carrier was built in 2009 by the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.

The South Hook terminal owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total SA can process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
