Qatari LNG heading for Taiwan

Taiwan is expected to receive a liquefied natural cargo from the world’s largest LNG exporter, Qatar around September 25, shipping data shows.

The 145,000 cbm LNG tanker Ejnan departed from Qatar’s Ras Laffan port on Friday and it is sailing to CPC’s Taichung LNG terminal, the data said.

Taiwan has two LNG import terminals with state-owned CPC planning to build a third regasification facility to serve the northern region near Taipei.
