Royal HaskoningDHV Joins Dutch Trade Mission to Indonesia

International engineering and project management consultancy Royal HaskoningDHV is joining Netherlands Prime Minister Rutte, Minister Ploumen and Minister Dijksma trade mission to Indonesia from 20 to 22 November 2013. Royal HaskoningDHV Chairman Mr Bertrand van Ee is a member of the accompanying trade delegation.

Indonesia is a country with promising market developments for Royal HaskoningDHV that sees great opportunities in the fields of water & ports, agro & food, healthcare and aviation.

Dutch partnership to protect and develop Jakarta against floods

On 21 November Mr Bertrand van Ee (Chairman Royal HaskoningDHV) will present a Dutch innovation booklet for the integrated development and protection of Jakarta on behalf of the Dutch Water Top Sector.

During the mission a special meeting is scheduled to discuss the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD) for Jakarta, which is needed to protect Jakarta from future floods by rivers and sea. Royal HaskoningDHV is involved in this NCICD programme and is assisting the Indonesian government to establish a Program Management Unit and investment strategy for the implementation of the programme.

CEO round table discussion

On 21 November Royal HaskoningDHV Chairman Mr Bertrand van Ee will attend a lunch and round table discussion with the three Dutch Government members, Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Mr Hatta Rajasa and 30 Dutch and Indonesian CEOs.

Hydropower Cooperation Agreement

On 21 November TIRASA and Royal HaskoningDHV are signing a Head of Cooperation Agreement to jointly enter the hydropower market and collaborate in developing a total of 100 MW of small scale hydropower plants in Indonesia in the next 5 years. An estimated 350,000 people will be connected to the grid because of these hydropower plants.

The agreement will be signed by Mr Wybe de Jager (Resident Director Royal HaskoningDHV Indonesia) and Mr Suryana Padma (President Director TIRASA) in the presence of Dutch Prime Minister Mr. Mark Rutte and Mr Suryo Sulisto (Chairman of KADIN, the Indonesian Chambers of Commerce) and Royal HaskoningDHV Chairman Mr Bertrand van Ee.
