RS Accredited Within “Military Register” Voluntary Certification System

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has been accredited as a certification body for quality management systems of firms (organizations), including the defense industry.

The decision on accreditation and the certificate issue was taken at the Commission Meeting of Federal Service for Defense Contracts (Rosoboronzakaz) and Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Military Register” on 26 December 2012 in Moscow.

The RS accreditation within the “Military Register” Voluntary Certification System allows RS to provide services on certification of quality management systems of firms involved in the state defense contracts fulfilment and of organizations carrying out research, development, manufacture, supply, maintenance, repair and utilisation of military equipment and defence products for compliance with ISO 9000 series and national military standards requirements.
