‘Safe Bristolia’ to stay at Bergen Group yard
Bergen Group Hanøytangen has been awarded a contract from Prosafe for berthing of the semi-submersible accommodation rig Safe Bristolia.
Prosafe has recently informed that the accommodation rig Safe Bristolia has been suspended from operation due to damages sustained in a storm. At that time, the rig was operating at the North Sea Everest field for BG Group.
The rig will arrive at Hanøytangen some time during the month. Bergen Group did not give any additional details as to the value of the contract and the exact date of the arrival.
Safe Bristolia was built in 1983 and converted to a service/accommodation vessel in 2006. The rig offers accommodation for 316 (UKCS) to 587 persons.
Bergen Group Hanøytangen AS is a fully owned subsidiary of Bergen Group ASA, a well-established supplier of products, services and solutions to the offshore and maritime industry.
The core activities are focused on Rig Service, Maritime Service, Subsea & Offshore Service and Decommission.
