The deal for the scrubber-fitted unit was signed with Tsuneishi Shipbuilding in early April.

Data provided by Asiasis shows that the new vessel, featuring 82,000 dwt, is scheduled for delivery to its owner in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The shipping firm did not unveil any further details related to the construction contract.

Sanko Line currently owns three Liberia-flagged bulkers, namely the 2012-built Sanko Fortune, the 2006-built Ocean Wind and the 2005-built Euro Fortune, the company noted on its website.
