Seabird’s Northern Explorer Gears for Caribbean Shoot

northern-explorerSeabird will be sending its Northern Explorer on a seismic survey campaign in the greater Caribbean area, the company said on Monday.

The M/V Northern Explorer, a 76 meters-long 2D/Source vessel, which joined SeaBird in 2005, is currently engaged in TGS Gigante survey offshore Mexico.

Phase one of the Caribbean survey forms part of a larger survey which was announced December 12, 2014.

According to Oslo-listed seismic contractor, the survey size is a minimum of 4,000 km and up to 45,000 km.

Northern Explorer is expected to mobilize in January 2016 for the project with an estimated duration of six to eight weeks.
