SEALNG Expands with Three New Members

Three new members, JAX LNG, Petronet LNG Limited, and Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC), have joined the multi-sector industry coalition SEALNG committed to accelerating the use of LNG as a marine fuel.

The three companies support the coalition’s goal of creating the necessary confidence in the shipping sector to drive an effective and efficient global LNG value chain by 2020.

“As a coalition, SEALNG is expanding, which continues to illustrate the support for and momentum behind the use of LNG as a marine fuel,” Peter Keller, SEALNG Chairman and Executive Vice President, TOTE said.

“SEALNG members span the entire LNG value chain and recognise that by pooling knowledge and working together, we can help drive the change needed across the marine transportation system,” Keller added.

Earlier in March, the coalition signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Society for Gas as Marine Fuel (SGMF), creating a framework for how the two complementary organisations will work together to achieve their common goal of making LNG the fuel of choice for the shipping industry.

“This MoU will ensure that our efforts are concentrated on defined areas, enabling us to support each other successfully, and ultimately providing the confidence and demand required for an effective, efficient, and safe global marine LNG value chain by 2020,” Keller earlier said.
