    Princess Cruise Line this weekend will dry-dock two of its foreign-flagged ships at Pearl Harbor for the first time. Hawaii Shipyards Inc., a local ship-repair company, will clean, paint and overhaul the two cruise ships — Tahitian Princess and Pacific Princess. The multimillion-dollar contract is expected to boost the local shipping industry.

    German shipbuilders’ association VSM’s Managing Director Werner Lundt has accused Asian rivals of price dumping at the association’s annual general meeting in Hamburg. Asian suppliers are now targeting markets seen as the core business of German shipyards, and Lundt claims they are trying to corner the few orders for special-purpose vessels by offering dumping prices.
