Seawork Presents Innovation Awards Winners (UK)

The prestigious Spirit of Innovation Trophy was awarded at the Seawork Innovation Awards last night to Index Marine for its Odeo Flare. The flare uses laser technology to achieve the same visibility as a red pyrotechnic hand flare without the dangers of heat, flames or explosives.

Category winners were:

• Marine Equipment, Electronics & Materials: Armada Marine Hydraulics (A209) – Europafilter
• Diving & Underwater Technology: Cygnus Instruments (B15) – Cygnus DIVE thickness gauge
• Safety & Training: Index Marine (SB120) – Odeo Flare
• Renewable Energy: Harken (B67) – PowerSeat
