Siem Offshore CEO Steps Down

Siem Offshore’s chief executive officer Idar Hillersøy has for personal reasons tendered his resignation, the company said on Monday.

He will be replaced by Bernt Omdal, who is currently the head of chartering.

Hillersøy was appointed CEO of Siem Offshore Inc. in August 2015. He is also the president and CEO of Secunda Canada (100% owned by Siem Offshore). Hillersøy has also worked for Simon Møkster Shipping AS (CCO), Seabrokers (General Manager), Norwegian Contractors and Stolt Offshore.

Furthermore, Tore Lillestø has been appointed as chief operating officer of Siem Offshore Inc.

“The board of Siem Offshore Inc. thanks Idar Hillersøy for his contribution to the company during his employment and look forward to working with Bernt Omdal and Tore Lillestø in their new positions,” the company said in a press statement.
