Solstad in ‘Normand Cutter’ charter with Saipem

Norwegian offshore shipping specialist Solstad has signed a frame agreement with Saipem for the use of its construction support vessel Normand Cutter.

According to Solstad, the frame agreement with Saipem’s Portuguese subsidiary is valid for 4 years.

Through this agreement, Saipem can utilize the “Normand Cutter” to support their subsea construction activities worldwide at pre-agreed commercial terms.

As part of the deal, Saipem has declared a utilization of approximately 6 months from June 2017 for the “Normand Cutter” on a project in West Africa.

The 127,5 m long vessel is equipped and fitted for operation in both shallow and deep water and continuous operation at sea for 40 days. Normand Cutter can accommodate a crew of 70.
