Solstad nabs work for PSV trio

Oslo-listed offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has won contract extensions with Equinor for two platform supply vessels and has also signed a new PSV contract with an unnamed client.

Solstad on Monday said that Equinor UK has extended one-year options on two Solstad Offshore’s platform supply vessels the Sea Frost and Sea Falcon.

Equinor is using the two vessels to service its Mariner field in the UK sector of the North Sea.

Both vessels, built in 2013, will now be on contract with Equinor until July 2020 and November 2020, respectively. Equinor has further options available to extend.

Also, Solstad said that its Sea Surfer PSV, of the same PX105 design as the Sea Frost and the Sea Falcon, has been contracted to an undisclosed client for a period lasting three months firm, plus options. The contract is expected to start within June/July 2019 period. The vessel is currently moored near Olen, Norway.
