Solstad scores charters for CSV duo

Norway’s offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has secured work for two of its offshore construction vessels.

First, the company signed a contract with DeepOcean AS for the CSV Normand Jarstein. The contract is expected to start in March for the 2019 season. DeepOcean will have options to extend for 2020 and 2021. According to VesselsValue, the vessel is currently moored in Emden, Germany.

DeepOcean will mobilize two WROV systems onboard and use the vessel on their projects within the oil & gas and renewables sectors, Solstad said on Wednesday.

Apart from the DeepOcean deal, Solstad has informed that Rever Offshore UK Limited (previously known as Bibby Offshore) has declared its 2019 option for the charter of the 2001-built CSV “Normand Clipper.”

Operations will be in the North Sea and the contract period is minimum 120 days firm. The contract is expected to start between March 15 and April 15, 2019.
