Spain - Boluda Takes Part in Ecoport Program

The objective of this working group is to improve the environmental status of Gandia, Valencia and Sagunto ports.

Valencia – Boluda Towage and Salvage, a division of Boluda Corporación Marítima which holds a leading position in the shipping sector at national and international level, focuses on towing.

It has participated voluntarily in the Ecoport program, promoted by the Port Authority of Valencia, which aims to improve qualitatively and quantitatively the state of the environment of the ports managed by the Port Authority of Valencia.

Companies that are part of the Environmental Committee, made voluntarily, have determined seven environmental objectives, such as reducing water consumption, hazardous waste minimization or reduction of electricity consumption.

Out of the seven goals, formulated by the participating companies, Boluda Towage and Salvage, having completed the Implementation Plan to reduce water consumption, reduced consumption by 19%, in relation to 3% target set by the program.

The participation of Boluda Towage and Salvage in Ecoport represents a significant effort to increase and improve the execution of Corporate Social Responsibility policy, which is essential part of Boluda Maritime Corporation business practices.
