Spectrum ASA Secures 3D Acquisition Offshore Trinidad

Spectrum has been awarded a proprietary contract to acquire 150 sq kms of 3D seismic data in shallow water off the east coast of Trinidad.

The 3D survey is located in acreage immediately adjacent to the 3D contract which was recently completed by GGS Atlantic. The latest award ensures continuation of acquisition with minimal disruption and requires the utilisation of a second source vessel. This new contract has a value of approx. $5.4m and will commence in early Q4. Acquisition is expected to be completed before the end of the year.

The contract builds on Spectrum’s recent experience in 3D acquisition and utilities the vessel upgrades undertaken during Q2 2010.
