The project starts on Saturday 15th February and it’s scheduled to finish on 1st of March 2014.

Four vessels will be carrying out the operation, Forth Guardsman, Fourth Sentinel, Fourth Jouster and Celtic Explorer. The cable installation will be done by a combination of spud legs near shore and a 4 point mooring pattern offshore. This will be performed by Forth Guardsman, while three vessels will provide support in anchor handling and as dive support vessels.

Due to the restricted ability to manoeuvre, during these operations, all vessels operating in this area are requested to keep a safe distance from Fourth Guardsman and pass at minimum speed.

Cable installation will be carried out during the day. In case of limited visibility vessels will display the appropriate lights, within IRPCS requirements. The vessels will transmit an AIS signal and a continuous listening watch will be maintained on VHF Channel 16 and DSC.
