Taizhou CATIC Shipbuilding Continues Construction of TK0703

Taizhou CATIC Shipbuilding recently held a keel-laying ceremony of the 3rd 76,000 DWT Bulk Carrier (TK0703) built for a German owner.

Relevant leaders of the shipyard together with owner’s representatives and GL Class site surveyors attended the ceremony.

The main particulars of the Vessel is: Loa: 225.00m; Bm: 32.26m; Dm: 19.50m; Design Draft: 12.20m; Designed Speed: 14.25 Knots; Class:GL.

Taizhou CATIC Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Limited was founded as a joint venture between Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd and CATIC Beijing Co., Ltd in November, 2007, with a registered capital of RMB 200 million. The company covers an area of 580,000 squares meters, spreads along Yangtze River. The shipyard employs more than 4000 workers which include engineers, senior engineers and welders approved and licensed by ABS, BV, DNV, GL, LR, NK, CCS, etc. Main products include 57.000 tons bulk carrier, 92.500 tons bulk carrier, 82.000 tons bulk carrier, 76.000 tons bulk carrier, 27.000 tons multipurpose vessel, 3.800 TEU container vessel etc.
